Civil Technical Manager

A Civil Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing technical aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate the technical design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities of a Civil Technical Manager include:

1. Technical Design: Overseeing the technical design process and ensuring that designs are compliant with relevant standards and regulations. This includes reviewing plans, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure that they are accurate and complete.
2. Project Coordination: Coordinating with project managers to ensure that project milestones are met and that work is completed on time and within budget. This involves monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving technical issues, and communicating progress to key stakeholders.
3. Quality Control: Ensuring that construction work is completed to the required quality standards. This includes conducting inspections and audits, reviewing test results, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
4. Team Management: Managing a team of engineers and technical staff. This includes providing technical guidance and support, managing performance, and ensuring that team members have the necessary training and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
5. Risk Management: Identifying and managing technical risks associated with civil engineering projects. This includes developing risk management plans, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring and reporting on project risks.
