Collector

Job Purpose

• The main purpose of the Collector job is to reduce DSO of the Company by Collecting/carry on cash.
• Increase the AR performance ratio.

Principal Accountabilities

• Ensure a positive cash flow, collect unpaid customers debts and meet the collection target.
• Use computers and various automated tools to find and keep track of past-due accounts.
• Maintain a record of customers data and the progress of collection operations.
• Find customers and alert them to past-due debts via mail, phone, or in-person visits in order to request payment.
• Investigate payment delays both internally and outside until they are resolved.
• The capability to analyze, read, and reconcile customers' statements of accounts & Aging and extract from ERP.
• A basic knowledge of accounting.
• Effective email writing skills that adhere to accepted etiquette.
• Hold telephone or in-person meetings with customers to discuss debt and to find out the causes of overdue.
• Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, defaulted claims, or bounced checks.
• Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous duties such as answering correspondence and writing reports.
• Reach out to customers with unpaid debt and attempt to collect from them.
• Advise customers of default consequences and debt repayment policies.
• Record address changes, Update CR & VAT certificate.
• Report defaulted accounts to management.
• Report past due accounts to manager.
• Monitor slow moving accounts to identify offending debts and Report to Supervisor.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.
