Cost Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cost control processes and procedures to track and manage project costs.

• Assist in preparing project budgets in cooperation with all concerned parties.• Coding the budget items to suit all reporting purposes.

• Monitor and capture actual costs against budgets and identify variances, providing analysis and recommendations.

• Integrate the work progress with the incurred costs to develop the cost KPIs

.• Prepare detailed forecasting reports, accurately highlight variances, and propose corrective actions.

• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to optimize costs.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

• Prepare regular cost control reports for management review

• Maintain cost records and documentation to support audits and compliance

• Capacity to analyze financial data, identify cost trends, and provide recommendations for improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 6-8 years of experience in cost control
• Hold recognized certificates related to cost management is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, and cost accounting principles
• Advanced skills using Excel is a must
• Power BI is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
