Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the Inspection Division Manager’s job is to oversee the RISAL inspection services Department, which involves the delivery of inspection services.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manages all RISAL inspection services-related operations to meet budget and non-financial targets.
- Accountable for executing all RISAL inspection services projects based on the agreed business plan.
- Accountable for Establishing & maintaining strong relations with current and prospective clients, consultants, and subcontractors, including resolving any contractual issues that cannot be resolved at the project manager level.
- Accountable and responsible for the P & L of the division.
- Accountable for all division costs incurred.
- Prepare periodic reports as required by the relevant line manager, such as the department's monthly report and the generation of an annual budget for the division's gross margin level.
- Inputs on and resolves difficult technical or business issues.
- Prepares sound and accurate construction budgets for all newly awarded projects.
- Responsible for planning and allocating manpower and equipment to safely execute the required services efficiently in accordance with the companies' and clients' Safety, Environmental, Administration, and Quality Management Systems.
- Identifies and tracks operational KPIs and devises plans and initiatives for operational improvements.
- Provides support for the professional development of staff and managers reporting directly to him.
- Support Estimation in bidding for new projects.
- Capable of developing the company business and defining potential opportunities.
- Follow up with the billing team for the timely issuance of invoices to the clients.
- Support the collection team in collecting due payments from clients wherever required.
- Prepare project cost sheets and review them with the cost control team.
- Ensure the submission of the project close-out report.
- Read and review all the contracts related to the department.
- Supports the operations manager with all operational decisions.
- Interfaces with clients, consultants & subcontractors on serious problems before they are escalated to the Operations Manager.
- Interacts with all levels of the organization on project-related issues (Operational and others).
- Interacts and manages direct reports and operational issues continuously.
- Assures the planning in charge of an optimal allocation of resources across projects.
- Assures the efficient and effective delivery of services as per the Business Plan.
- Accountable for the proper implementation of HSE & QAQC Policies.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to NDT, such as ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO.
- Strong understanding of advanced NDT methods: borescope, MFL, ECT, IRIS, PAUT, TOFD, and NFA.
Certifications:
- Mandatory Certification / Qualifications:API 570.
API 510.
API 653.
NDT level II all methods (RT, PT, MT, UT, Eddy current).
Senior Welding Inspector (AWS/CSWIP 3.2).
- Preferred certifications/qualifications:
API 936.
NACE Corrosion Specialist.
PMP
Risk management.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the construction/ contracting industry, trends, standards, and other market developments.
- Strong working knowledge of the key construction/ contracting function (e.g., engineering, procurement, equipment management…, etc.).
- Minimum 12 years of experience at a well-known organization's operational and managerial level in the relevant industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in GCC, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong computer skills.
- Fluent in English & Arabic Language
