Document Controller

Job Summary:
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of document control, including the creation, organization, and maintenance of documents in a systematic manner to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:
- Create, organize, and maintain both electronic and hard copy documents
- Ensure all documents are properly categorized, stored, and easily accessible
- Implement and maintain document control procedures and processes
- Update and review documents regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as needed
- Coordinate with various departments to collect and distribute documents in a timely manner

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in document management software and MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Education: Must possess a Technical Diploma or an equivalent certification in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related technical field.
• Experience: A minimum of 6 years of recent, relevant experience in document control and technical administration, specifically within the marine engine or offshore services sector.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in using shared drives for archiving and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software for tracking and conditional formatting.
• System Knowledge: Proficiency in using classification portals (ABS/BV) and technical software for parts and procurement tracking, such as Oracle Fusion or NS5.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail for verifying certificate validity and strong organizational skills for managing complex transmittal and dispatch logs.
