Field Service Manager -Whipstock

Job Description

Strategy Formulation 

 

  • Develop the strategic objectives & KPIs for the Department as per the Operation Manager’s directions and set the individual objectives for employees under management accordingly.

 

  • Aim at achieving the operating results of the Department and ensure that appropriate measures are in place to achieve targeted objectives, reduce risk and make accurate decisions.

 

Budget & Cost Control

 

  • Help in developing the annual budget for the Unit and ensure that all employees are working according to the assigned budgets by setting the required targets and responsibilities.

 

  • Monitor and control expenditures against the approved budgets and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.

 

Policies & Processes

 

  • Develop Policies & Processes for the department in line with Rawabi Wildcat’s standards and other applicable laws and regulations and ensure proper implementation of the same by the staff.

 

Core Activities

 

  • Manage all wellbore departure activities to ensure the same are being performed in compliance with Rawabi Wildcat’s policies and client requirements.

 

  • Ensure all machinery, equipment, service tooling and spare parts are readily available at worksites prior to the commencement of the job.

 

  • Manage the process of planning and allocating of resources (personnel, machinery, tools, supplies etc.), including job scheduling, as per the job requirements to ensure jobs are completed as per the agreed upon requirements.

 

  • Optimize the usage of resources available to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

 

  • Manage and participate (when needed) in addressing any issues/ accidents that might occur on the wellsite.

 

  • Develop maintenance plans for machinery, tools, supplies as needed in order to avoid disruptions to operations as a result of machinery failures.

 

  • Address major client complaints/ concerns that have been escalated by subordinates and ensure the same are resolved in a timely manner.

 

  • Lead meetings with client representatives during various stages to discuss progress and corrective measures that may be implemented due to deviations.

 

  • Lead all safety meetings with the rig personnel to ensure all tasks and activities performed are in compliance with HSE standards and regulations.

 

  • Ensure the proper documentation of all reports generated by subordinates and ensure all the necessary information and signatories are available/ acquired.

 

  • Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.

 

HSE Responsibilities

 

  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure the health, safety and welfare of self and others.

 

  • Ensure employee health and safety programs and guidelines are developed, regularly maintained, implemented, reviewed and complied with.

 

  • Identify any health, safety or environmental risks in addition to recommending and implementing solutions to mitigate the same.

 

Continuous Improvement

 

  • Manage and recommend continuous improvement of Department’s operations taking accounting for best practices, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans in accordance with the country’s rules and regulations.

 

People Management

 

  • Identify the manpower requirements for the department and coordinate with the Human Capital Department regarding the recruitment activities to ensure hiring a highly professional and knowledgeable workforce.

 

  • Conduct annual performance appraisal for subordinates and recommend salary increments and promotions accordingly.

 

  • Identify the training needs of employees and ensure training & development initiatives are successfully delivered and provide feedback to the Direct Manager.

 

  • Delegate responsibilities and assign tasks to subordinates to facilitate performing different tasks and work-related activities.

 

  • Manage subordinates' attendance and leaves to ensure complying with Rawabi Wildcat’s attendance policy, as well as the availability of proper replacement during subordinates' leaves.

 

Reports

 

  • Review reports prepared by subordinates with regards to the Department’s activities and provide recommendations related to areas of improvement accordingly.

 

  • Prepare reports on budget activity, including identification of potential problems and recommendations for corrective actions, forecast trends and make recommendations.

 

  • Prepare periodic reports to draw insights about the current business conditions and facilitate the decision-making process.

 

Skills

Qualifications and Certifications

-  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.

-  Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field would be an added advantage.

Work Experience

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the same or related field.

Behavioral Competencies

-  To be updated after completion of Behavioral Competency Framework.

Language Skills

- Proficient in English  (verbal, written).

Education

Engineering or related field.
