HSE Engineer

Job Summary:

• We are looking for a skilled HSE Engineer to join our team in the gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

Job Responsibility:

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Coordinate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training to employees to ensure understanding and compliance with safety regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HSE management.Ensure the implementation and promotion of a Health and safety culture across company through the provision and implementing Health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessment, accident prevention, health initiatives and acknowledged personal responsibility.
• Provide all required support and guidance for the HSE team to ensure transfer of knowledge, the proper utilization of human resources, and achieve the planned performance.
• coordinate with operation and other departments to deliver comprehensive Health and Safety training to promote, develop and sustain a positive Health and Safety awareness culture.
• Provide appropriate risk assessment methodology to comply with legislation and ensure all potential risks are identified and control measures implemented and monitored.
• Contribute to the development of safety programs and ensures the availability of safety manuals, hazardous area instructions, safety materials, safety publications and posters.
• Handle safety assessments and deploy corrective measures to minimize hazard / risk profile.
• Participate in conducting safety audits both internal and external.
• Preparing  all requested reports including but not limited to (Monthly, weekly and required registers).
• Attend the weekly meetings with HSE staff and other departments.
• Conduct inspections/reviews to assess compliance to company and international codes and standards, identify safety concerns, formulate solutions, and develop practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
• Respond to emergency situations and incidents, either during or after regular working hours, to provide technical assistance and advice.
• Support the reporting, classification and investigation all incidents, and participating in incident investigations, determination of root causes, and proper recommendations to prevent recurrence
• Utilize key performance indicators (KPI) in monitoring, measuring and evaluating safety and health performance in project
• Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement these changes
• carry out analysis for HSE statistics, identifying the positive and negative points  to suggesting improvement plans.
• Follow-up on the implementation of the environmental management system in the organization to maintain the non-depletion of environmental resources through, for example but not limited  implementation of the waste recycling process
• Monitor the HSE performance and practices to ensure Companies operations and plant assets are operating safely and in accordance with the HSE standards, policies and procedures.
• Ensuring Health and safety standards & management systems are in place for the organization and working site.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have NAPOSH or OSHA
• Proven work experience as an HSE Engineer in the gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
