Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping Construction Engineer with active Saudi Aramco approval to oversee the execution, installation, and testing of piping systems for a major EPC project. The successful candidate will ensure that all site construction activities strictly adhere to project specifications, Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), and international codes (ASME, API). This role requires strong field leadership, technical problem-solving, and seamless coordination with QA/QC, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

·       Site Execution: Direct and supervise the daily field installation of above-ground (A/G) and underground (U/G) piping systems, including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, and non-metallic (GRE/FRP) piping.

·       Technical Review: Review and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping layouts, material take-offs (MTOs), and 3D models (Navisworks) to resolve constructability issues prior to execution.

·       Compliance & Standards: Ensure all piping construction complies with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS) and international codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API).

·       QA/QC Coordination: Work closely with the QA/QC department to ensure the successful implementation of the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Coordinate NDT activities (RT, PT, MT, UT) and resolve any non-conformance reports (NCRs).

·       Hydrotesting & Handover: Oversee mechanical completion activities, prepare and review hydrotest/pneumatic test packages, and supervise flushing, blowing, and testing operations.

·       Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractor productivity, ensure safe work practices, and verify that manpower and equipment are utilized efficiently to meet project milestones.

·       Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, track weld rejection rates, and flag any schedule delays or technical deviations to the Construction Manager.

Skills

Qualifications & Requirements

·       Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

·       Aramco Approval: Must hold a valid Saudi Aramco Approval / SAP Number as a Piping Construction Engineer or relevant technical capacity.

·       Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of solid site construction experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pipeline sector. Significant experience on Saudi Aramco EPC projects is mandatory.

·       Technical Expertise:

Deep understanding of welding processes, pipe supports, valves, and equipment tie-ins.

Hands-on experience with pre-commissioning, hydrotesting, and system turnover.

Familiarity with Navisworks/3D model review tools and AutoCAD.

·       Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, site-coordination, and communication skills (fluent written and spoken English).

·       Residency: Valid KSA Transferable Iqama (if applying locally within Saudi Arabia).
