Safety Officer (Maritime)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Safety Officer with a focus on maritime operations to ensure the safety and security of all personnel, vessels, and equipment within our maritime environment.

Job Responsibility:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections on vessels, equipment, and facilities to identify and address potential hazards.
- Investigate and report on any maritime accidents or incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Provide safety training and guidance to maritime staff to ensure a culture of safety awareness.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to maintain industry best practices in maritime safety.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security).
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and advise maritime staff on safety protocols.

Skills:

Must be current Safety Officer in Offshore Support Vessel Industry only
