Yard & Logistics Supervisor

A- Yard Supervison 

Supervise receiving, put-away, picking, staging, loading/unloading, and weather protection of materials. 

Implement SS/housekeeping, line of sight visibility, and safe access around storage areas. Control waste handling and spill prevention. 

Enforce PPE, safe systems of work, vehicle-pedestrian segregation, spotter/banksman control and verify pre-lift conditions. 

Ensure job card, loading plans, and damage reports are completed and filed, escalate non-conformances. 

B- Chemical Material Handling.

Verify deliveries (COA, SDS, MSDS, labels, container integrity, quantities) quarantine non-conforming items. 

Segregate incompatible classes and assure proper storage per class. Maintain SDS, GHS labeling, emergency signage, eyewash/shower operability, spill kits.

Apply FEFO/FIFO; track batch/lot and expiry dates; maintain temperature/humidity where required. 

Keep controlled issue/return logs, stock cards, and ERP/WMS transactions accurate and current. 

Conduct routine inspections and correct non-conformities: participate in drills (spill/fire/evac)

C- Equipment Caretaking (Yard & Handling Assets)

Conduct/verify daily pre-use checks.

Track hours/utilization; schedule preventive maintenance per OEM/CMMS; coordinate breakdown repairs.  

Maintain calibration/inspection records for meters, scales, lifting accessories(slings/shackles/hooks).

Maintain an up-to-date asset register and status log ensure certificates for lifting gear are current. 

Ensure critical spares/consumables availability: manage fuel/charging/lubrication routines. 

D-Logistics Supervision

Prepare equipment/labor for offloading; verify documentation. Ensure quantity/quality checks, damage reporting. 

Plan dispatch against priorities; ensure packing, labeling, weight distribution, and load restraint compliance. 

Prepare shipping docs, track departures and PODs. Allocate vehicles, monitor on time, reduce wait times, resolve exceptions.

Maintain dashboards for operation vehicles, damages, and service failures with corrective actions. 

Multi-tasking person who can handle 4 roles of a Yard Supervisor. Logistics supervisor, Equipment caretaker, and Chemical Material Handling. 

3-5 years of experience in field coordination within industrial services. 

Strong organizational, planning and multitasking communication skills and punctuality.

HSE & Chemical handling knowledge. 

Experience in document control preferred. 

Exceptional leadership skill, problem-soliving and structured escalation

Safety leadership and situational awareness. 

Driving license.
