Senior Cost Accountant

Job Purpose

• The purpose of the Senior Cost Accountant's job is primarily to monitor, construct and maintain cost accumulation data of production to furnish information on cost control and cost analysis in accordance with the rules and procedures of cost accounting and monitoring budget control.

Principal Accountabilities

• Arranging cost data to calculate production cost for each product by cost element (Materials, Labor, manufacturing overhead and classifying cost elements in accordance with Variable, fixed, direct and indirect cost.
• Valuation of WIP/GIP and Finished Goods Inventory and calculation of Cost of Goods Sold/Cost of Revenue.
• Prepare work order/batch or project costing reports and details.
• Review overhead cost and allocation rate periodically.
• Regular checking of raw materials, consumables spare parts. WIP/GIP and finished inventory movements and reconcile inventories versus general ledger.
• Preparing Profit & Loss statements for each project/product monthly to determine segment contribution as well as BEP (Breakeven point).
• Providing periodic reports of project/product margin, cost variances (Actual Cost Vs Standard), variation analysis and write analytical conclusion on project/product costing. improvements and cost reduction approach /techniques.
• Perform pricing studies for the new projects and develop pricing templates to apply for repetitive jobs and orders.
• Assist Delocalized Finance Officer in preparation and presentation of financial budgets, forecast and results of operations.
• Facilitate build-up and analysis of capital budgeting request.
• Coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts directs, evaluates, and develops the Rawabi Holding Accounting team to ensure that objectives are reached.
• Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal and succession planning of all direct and indirect reports.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

Health & Safety Responsibilities.

• Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
• Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and co-operate with his/her supervisor's instructions.

Communications and Working Relationships

• General Accounting: Providing them with the production cost by products for the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Production Department: Reviewing monthly production report and discuss actual production conditions verses standard production conditions.
• Maintenance Department: Reviewing monthly consumption of Spare parts and consumable supplies compared with budget.
• Human Resources Reviewing Labor cost elements and discusses the variations if any.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance: CPA / CFA is a strong plus
• Most have one of the following Certificate
• CMA
• ACMA
• ICMA
• ACCA
• CA
• IRS
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial and management functions within a company of Rawabi Holding's size or larger with at least 3 years of working experience in budget and cost control related to FMCG,  manufacturing, contracting &/or oilfield sectors.
• Strong knowledge of financial theory, concepts, and practices.
• Demonstrates a successful track record as Finance Officer, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Capable to work under pressure in a delocalized environment.
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS office. applications and basic software applications, and familiarity with the internet and email communications.
• Experience in the GCC is a plus, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• English and Arabic languages fluency required.
