Job Purpose:
To perform diagnostic testing, overhaul, and rewinding of marine electric motors and electrical machinery at the onshore workshop to support fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect, test, overhaul, and rewind AC/DC marine electric motors, stators, and generators.
· Collect coil data, read electrical schematics, and execute precision winding and insulation.
· Disassemble, balance, repair, and bench-test electrical equipment prior to vessel dispatch.
· Maintain complete repair documentation, quality test reports, and workshop safety standards.
المهارات
· Education: Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or an equivalent 2–3-year vocational/technical course; OR a recognized National Certificate in Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Electric Motor Rewinding, or Power Plant Maintenance.
· Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on electric motor rewinding and overhaul experience; marine/offshore experience preferred.
· Skills: Expertise in motor rewinding, insulation/Megger testing, schematic reading, and operating specialized workshop repair machinery.
