Job Summary:
The purpose of the Technician I position is to perform technical tasks related to non-destructive testing (NDT) operations in accordance with approved technical procedures, Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, and Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
Principal Accountabilities
Ø Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and perform inspections using the appropriate non-destructive testing methods(RT, MT, PT, and UT).
Ø Conduct examinations, interpret, and evaluate test results in accordance with procedures approved by the NDT Level III.
Ø Execute inspections in compliance with established procedures and applicable standards to determine the quality and integrity of tested components.
Ø Perform inspection activities and prepare, organize, and maintain accurate reports related to inspection findings and evaluations.
Ø Establish proper testing techniques to ensure thorough examination of components while strictly adhering to all safety requirements.
Ø Verify that all inspection equipment is in proper working condition, fully functional, and equipped with the necessary accessories prior to commencing work.
Ø Follow all instructions and directives provided by the immediate supervisor.
Ø Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to Level I NDT personnel and trainees.
Ø Attend and successfully complete client-required examinations and interviews as necessary.
Ø Be available to work at all RISAL NDT job locations as required.
Ø Provide support to other NDT crews and projects as needed.
Secondary Duties:
Ø Comply with established health and safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others.
Ø Identify and report health, safety, and environmental risks to management, make recommendations to mitigate those risks, and follow supervisory instructions.
Ø Ensure workers properly use and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), devices, and clothing, and confirm that such equipment is in good condition.
Ø Ensure workers are aware of potential hazards and that existing hazards in the workplace have been properly addressed or are being managed.
Ø Plan and clearly communicate work assignments to enable employees to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
Ø Review the safety aspects of each task with the crew prior to starting work.
Ø Conduct accident and incident investigations as required.
Ø Respond promptly and appropriately to worker concerns, assist in resolving issues, and escalate matters beyond your authority to the appropriate level of management.
Ø Maintain awareness of applicable legislation and company policies and procedures.
Ø Lead by example by consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and insisting on safe work practices.
Ø Monitor work in progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance to workers.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Work Experience
· Minimum of six (6) months of practical experience in the NDT industry, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
Academic Education
· Minimum diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
· Alternative qualifications may be considered based on demonstrated practical experience and job performance (e.g., high school graduate with 1–2 years of relevant practical experience).
Certifications
· Must hold at least a valid NDT Level II certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Other Skills and Competencies
· Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
· Ability to respond appropriately to questions and communicate technical information.
· Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
· Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and established work processes.
· Possession of a valid KSA driving license or willingness to obtain one by passing the required driving examination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Physical Ability
· Must successfully complete all medical checks as required by the company and clients, including passing the vision test. Should have no history of blood disorders that could impact health or job performance, particularly when exposed to radiation hazards. The role requires local travel, including visits to project sites.
