Port Captain (Tugboat)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Port Captain (Tugboat) to oversee the safe and efficient operation of tugboats in port areas. The Port Captain will be responsible for coordinating tugboat schedules, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and optimizing tugboat performance.

Job Responsibility:

- Must be a Master of OSV Tugboat of at least 48 months
- Manage and coordinate the activities of tugboat crews in port areas
- Ensure safe and efficient operations of tugboats, including docking and undocking ships
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve performance and minimize risks
- Monitor and maintain tugboat equipment and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules
- Liaise with port authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to coordinate tugboat movements
- Provide guidance and training to tugboat crews on safety procedures and best practices

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field
- Valid Master Mariner license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience as a Port Captain or in a similar role in the maritime industry
- Strong knowledge of port operations, maritime regulations, and tugboat handling
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in challenging situations
