Port Captain (Utility)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Port Captain (Utility) to oversee and manage the daily operations of maritime activities within the port facility. The Port Captain will ensure compliance with safety regulations, coordinate vessel movements, and handle any emergencies that may arise.

Job Responsibility:
- Supervise and coordinate vessel movements to ensure efficient and safe operations within the port.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all local, national, and international maritime regulations.
- Manage a team of dock workers, stevedores, and other port personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for various potential scenarios.
- Communicate with port authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate port activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and vessels to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of port activities, incidents, and maintenance schedules.

Candidate Requirements:

- Must be a Master for at least 48 months of sea experience in OSV Utility vessel
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within the maritime industry.
- In-depth knowledge of port operations, vessel handling, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.
- Certification in port management or related fields is a plus.
